Where do we start with the Seventy Seven Lagoon? Let’s begin by calling a Super to the Lagoon flagship, shall we? This is the company which is the market leader in cruising catamarans with boats like the Lagoon 380, but with the 77, alongside market leader Sunreef, they are muscling into the high-end luxury market. When you order one of these boats, you could go
all the hog and go for the optional Jacuzzi fly-bridge. Why didn’t they? We saw the Fountaine Pajot Alegria 67 bubbles and thought, “We should go one higher than this!This yacht has room heaps, and can easilyhosta family group, friends, and a professional crew.

The owner’s suite has a walk-in bathroom, double-sink head, and private terrace that swings out of the hull. And the galley underneath could be in an apartment in Manhattan. This boat hasn’t quite reached the heights of the famous catamaranin the Hemisphere, but let’s face it, it’s not that far away.

This is a Wonderful Lagoon. In this boat, the real head-turner is the master cabin’s balcony — your private breakfast bar or diving platform they call the Private Beach. The 77 has a sleeker feel than most of its smaller sisters, and this Super Yacht attracts heads around the world in marinas and bays. There are several party zones with that massive flybridge and the forward cockpit directly accessible from the deck, but you may need some personnel for this catamaran. It can handle these comfortably. This catamaran manufacturer has come a long way since their 67-day Lagoon, but it seems they have tried to imitate the beautiful lines of that earlier multihull success.
Creation of naval architects VPLP (Marc Van Peteghem and Vincent Lauriot-Prévost), this luxury yacht takes the Lagoon 620 batten as the new flagship for the group. Hydraulic furlers have three headsails, and the triple-spreader rig is relatively user-friendly for this sized boat. That said, this catamaran was designed to accommodate professional crew onboard. It is powered by 180 HP diesel, (there is an upgrade to 230 HP). She will cruise under power at about 9 knots and sail 12 knots under sail with a 20-knot breeze on the mast.

The SEVENTY 7 has a large footprint but looks sleek and balanced. To raise the tender, or to have a comfortable teak swimming platform, a hydraulic swimming platform can be brought down into the sea. In the full aft cockpit, there is space for 20, on lounge seats, and around a dining table. A curved staircase leads from the cockpit port corner down to the flybridge. Travel forward along with the big side decks, and you’ll get to the forward cockpit with more lounge sofas and a quick jump up to the nets.


 Linked spaces from the aft deck to the forward trampoline, which become one. A massive flybridge which provides an impressive extra living space while remaining an integral part of the boat. A forward cockpit that is directly accessible from the deck and the saloon is offering an outstanding view of the sea. Wide hull portholes are allowing large quantities of light to flood into the interior. Direct access to the sea from the owner’s suite via the hull gates, the the private beach of the SEVENTY 7: a bit of technical gem available as an option.
